Yrai is a Venezuelan gal with a beautiful accent and equally beautiful personality. We held this session on a Squaw Run trail in the ‘burbs of Pittsburgh.
About midway through the shoot, we both touched some awful little plant that caused us some problems. Upon initial contact, it felt like tiny needles poking, then turning to tiny hives, followed by a mixture of itchiness and strange stabbing pain. It finally ended (for me) 24 hours later after a night of complete numbness around the area. We have no idea what it was but stopped by the pharmacy on the way home to pick up benadryl ointment (as suggested by the pharmacist) to make sure the reactions we were having didn’t spread.
But before heading to the pharmacy to save our skin, about 10 minutes before leaving, one borough garbage truck stopped near us to empty the trails trash can. We kept working and about two minutes later, noticed two more garbage trucks had stopped and parked and then drivers were standing around watching. Then a few more came. By the time we walked back to our cars there were at least 6 trucks parked and probably 8 guys standing, blocking us in. One says, “oh, I guess we should move our cars.” Yrai, in her awesome little accent, replies “yes, sorry guys!” They apologize and hop in their trucks before driving off. We sat there for a moment, laughing at the fact that they had all clearly been there just to watch a beautiful lady have her photos taken.
