SPRING, SUMMER, AND FALL:
Planning for your portraits at Phipps Conservatory
For outdoor portraits, just after sunrise and just before sunset are the most ideal times. The light will softly play with the beautiful glass venue behind you. For portraits indoor, you can comfortably have your portraits taken any time of day without fear of harsh or unflattering light. Throughout the entirety of Phipps, the lighting is gorgeous anytime of the day. If you’re having your wedding or elopement at Phipps, you’ll need to be given permission to have portraits taken in rooms/areas other than those specifically rented for the event. If you’re having your engagement session at Phipps, you’ll need to contact staff to reserve a specific room (or rooms) for a fee. (The fee is well worth it!) You can find more about reserving a set time and space within Phipps for your session here.
