Barn at Fallingwater Wedding Photographer : Rachel + Josh

homepage Weddings

This drive to the Barn at Fallingwater was an especially soothing one. The rain created a beautiful mist which covered the brightly colored Laurel Mountains perfectly.

When I arrived, Rachel was having her hair and makeup done with her mother, sister and adorable black lab pup. There is something to be said about small wedding parties. The quiet and relaxed nature of Rachel’s entire preparation was so lovely and so rare. Of course, plenty of laughs were shared, but it was incredibly intimate at the same time. Five minutes into photographing and I knew this wedding would be extra special.

Because of the rain, the staff tore down the outdoor ceremony setup and moved it into the barn. I left Rachel a few moments early to see it completed before she arrived. It was stunning – somehow perfectly capturing the windy, chilly weather outside and the loving, warm mood inside. It was perfect in every sense of the word.

Rachel and Josh shared their emotional vows in front of a very small group of loved ones. They cheered, they danced, they ate and drank. The entire day was so beautiful and I am so thankful to have been witness to it all.
