As a The Barn at Fallingwater wedding photographer, I can confidently say that this is one of my favorite wedding venues in the country. It’s easy to get to but far enough from the big city to feel like a destination wedding or intimate elopement. The barn is stunning as is but can be dressed up by you or your wedding designer/florist for a setting that will leave your guests in awe.
The Barn at Fallingwater is a gorgeous space surrounded by thick forest full of mature trees towering above. There is a farmhouse just beside the barn where couples can get ready for the big day with their bridal party or family.
The front of the venue features a stone patio with a beautiful canopy of twisted branches and vines – the perfect spot for an intimate ceremony. Just off the patio is a large, open, indoor room with windows lining either side and a large fireplace in the center. A short walk from the barn, there’s a gorgeous ceremony site set in the middle of the forest. And, of course, the barn is spectacular.
The famous Frank Lloyd Wright house, Fallingwater, is just across the street. Wedding guests can visit Fallingwater before the ceremony or mingle all over the grounds of the Barn to truly take in the experience. Couples can even have their wedding day portraits taken at the famous house before or after their ceremony, escorted by the in-house coordinator.
